Community Partners

It would be impossible to host this program without a broad network of supporters. These organizations and individuals are providing tremendous support to the Hispanic Youth Symposium.

Aguila Youth Leadership Institute

AGUILA is a Phoenix-based, nonprofit college access program for Latino/a youth that builds a support network so that students can successfully prepare for, apply to, and graduate from college.

Students begin AGUILA as high school juniors, attending monthly seminars that focus on personal growth, leadership, and college preparation. As high school seniors, they continue to meet once a month to focus on college admissions and funding, cultural heritage, academic success, civic engagement, leadership, positive self-esteem and healthy relationships.

AGUILA seniors are honored at a special celebration in May of each year, marking their rite of passage from high school to college. AGUILA then provides follow-up and continued support for students through their Alumni Association.
