Helios Education Foundation
Helios Education Foundation is the largest nonprofit organization serving Arizona and Florida focused solely on education, and is dedicated to enriching the lives of individualsby creating opportunities for success in postsecondary education. Created through the sale of Southwest Student Services Corporation, a student loan services company, our roots are in education and in helping individuals gain access to postsecondary programs. The Foundation’s community investments are made across three impact areas: Early Childhood Education, the Transition Years (grades 5-12) and Postsecondary Scholarships. Since inception in 2004, the Foundation has invested over $44 million in education-related programs and initiatives across both states. Helios Education Foundation is designed to exist in perpetuity, so our commitment is long-term. We invest our time, expertise and resources in finding innovative solutions to the complex challenges facing our education system-and impacting the success of our children and youth. Student success across the pre-kindergarten (Pre-K) through postsecondary education continuum is the driver of our decision-making. Our goal is to increase the number of young adults successfully completing postsecondary education with the skills and knowledge necessary to compete in a global economy… leading to an improved quality of life.
