Phoenix Hispanic Youth Symposium
Arizona State University | July 16-19, 2008

About the Program

The Hispanic College Fund is coming to Arizona this summer! 200 local Hispanic high school students and 150 community volunteers will come together for a life-changing event that raises the college-going trajectories of Hispanic students in the community.

A Community Partner

The Hispanic College Fund is proud to announce that it is partnering with the AGUILA Youth Leadership Institute (AGUILA) to deliver this program. AGUILA is assisting the Hispanic College Fund with the recruitment of students, coordination of the program, and fundraising.

After the symposium, all Hispanic Youth Symposium alumni will join the AGUILA Youth Leadership Institute for year-round programming and continued support.

In the years that follow, all Hispanic Youth Symposium student alumni will receive ongoing local programming from AGUILA – as well as national scholarship, college and career opportunities from the Hispanic College Fund.

AGUILA and the Hispanic College Fund will be working closely to ensure that students who participate in the Hispanic Youth Symposium become part of a network that supports their educational and professional aspirations indefinitely.

Investing in the Community

Each symposium costs about $175,000 to run, and 92 cents from every dollar raised go to support direct costs (including student meals, lodging, classroom space, and supplies) and staff that make the symposium a success. Click here to see how the Hispanic College Fund makes this investment in the community.

We rely on volunteers and the generosity of community donors, corporations, and foundations to support the program. Join us today and help make a difference in the lives of very talented and deserving students!
