About the Program
The
Hispanic College Fund is coming to New Mexico this summer! More than 100 local Hispanic high school students and 150 community volunteers will come together for a life-changing event that raises the college-going trajectories of Hispanic students in the community.
A Community Partner
The Hispanic College Fund is proud to announce that it is partnering with New Mexico Math Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) to deliver this program. NM MESA is assisting the Hispanic College Fund with the recruitment of students, coordination of the program, and fund raising.
After the symposium, all Hispanic Youth Symposium alumni will join the NM MESA program in their home communities for year-round programming and continued support.
In the years following the symposium, the student alumni will continue to receive local assistance and programming from NM MESA - as well as national scholarship, college and career opportunities from the Hispanic College Fund.
Investing in the Community
Each symposium costs about $175,000 to run, and 92 cents from every dollar raised go to support the direct costs (including student and volunteer meals, lodging, classrooms space, etc.) and staff that make the symposium a success. The Hispanic College Fund and NM MESA
need your help to make the program a success as every dollar must be raised from donations.
The Hispanic College Fund relies on volunteers and the generosity of community donors, corporations, and foundations to support the program.
Join the Hispanic College Fund and NMMESA today and help make a difference in the lives of very talented and deserving students!
